A customer who specializes in data management platform for radio and music industry reached out to ProArch Team for supporting the existing setup and to re-platforming the application to scale up in order to handle higher loads, beyond a million users

Engagement model:

• Offshore Dev and support team that works on supporting the technical issues in the existing setup as well as working on scaling up the application on cloud-scale.

Technologies used:

• The Web application is hosted on Azure public cloud platform on a PaaS service which reduces the IT overhead and helps the customer focus on the application development
• iOS and Android application developed using Xamarin

Deliverables in the project:

• We committed to support the existing platform across applications
• Re-platform the application to achieve scalability & host it on Azure cloud platform for elasticity and cost savings
• Re-factor the mobile applications as native apps on iOS and Android respectively.

How we did it:

• We compared the IaaS and PaaS offerings available in Azure that should meet the customer’s requirements and easy to manage post-deployment.
• Prior to hosting the app, an assessment, test migration was performed to analyze the application performance and the behavior
• Hosted the web application on PaaS service in Azure & leveraged Azure SQL database which had let us focus only on the code and development lifecycle because of very little maintenance required on the infrastructure.
• PaaS offering was chosen as the right fit due to its simplicity and easy to deploy with minimal.
